At the Christian Service Center for the Homeless (CSC), our mission is to prevent homelessness, combat poverty, cultivate self-sufficiency and restore hope through service and solution programs for families and individuals who are struggling in Central Florida. For more than 50 years, CSC has served as a trusted safety net for Central Florida neighbors struggling with homelessness, food insecurity, and severe financial hardship.

CSC’s impact is visible every day at our Downtown Orlando campus, where hundreds of people seek both immediate relief and long-term stability. As Orlando’s Comprehensive Day Services Center, CSC brings essential services together in one place, allowing individuals and families to access meals, housing support, healthcare navigation, employment assistance, and basic necessities with dignity and compassion. For many, CSC becomes a place of stability and a pathway forward during one of the most difficult seasons of their lives.

Just last year, CSC:

• Rescued 1,538 adults and children from homelessness by preventing evictions and moving individuals directly from the streets into permanent housing.
• Served 179,567 nutritious meals through our Daily Bread program, ensuring our neighbors did not have to choose between hunger and survival.
• Provided vital day services to more than 8,000 individuals, including access to showers, clothing, mail services, computer access, and case management.
• Expanded innovative solutions such as the 407 Connect shelter bus and coordinated onsite partnerships to strengthen pathways from crisis to housing stability.

At CSC, success is measured not only by services delivered, but by the number of people who leave our campus more stable and better connected than when they arrived. Partnerships with foundations like the Chatlos Foundation make this work possible by strengthening proven programs while allowing us to respond to a growing and increasingly complex housing crisis with compassion and accountability.
